is an unbiased study of the popular cameras of today. This is really a fantastic unbiased series showing some pretty interesting results where even digital beats out film in some cases. It's a long video for episode 1, but this will probably put some people's opinions to rest or on guard.. :)

Heard many comments that many indie producers preferred the 7D over the 5D. This test seems to support that (or maybe its only applies to 24p). What about lens to camera compatibility? Does that exists? Why did the Panasonic performed so well if it is just another GH2 in a bigger plastic body? Did they take the signal directly from the SDI port or from the AVCHD file? I guess they were shooting at 24p. That's why they had a Nikon D7000.

Should I reach a conclusion that if you want to sell to these big guys you should have at least a 7D? I have also heard that the T3i video is identical to the 7D.

Thanks for posting.

@LUXORPYRAMID

I haven't watched that film yet, but i'm wondering why filmmakers would prefer the 7D over the 5D

@Eddie: In a low light/contrast test the 7D seems to look better with the lens selected for that particular test. Watch the video is very interesting.
