Clip preperation problems

Hello All.
I am brand new to this site :-). Hope you all are nice... from reading previous posts you all seem great.
Alright here goes.
I am having a few issues uploading content to this site. I am a member of another site (SS) and they prefer their videos to be uploaded using the photo J codec for progressive and the motion Jpeg B for interlaced. I am using a HV30 camera in HDV mode (60i). I used HDVsplit to rip the videos directly from the miniDV tape to m2t files. Then loaded those m2t files into Streamclip, did a export to quicktime, and chose 90% quality.
After uploading one clip (7 seconds at 140mb) I had no problems. The sample picture came up *looked a little grainy and not so clear as the actual one*, but then the 2nd clip (12 seconds at 420mb) gave me an error by pond5. So I am not sure what the deal here is, or what the proper setup is for this site. If anyone can help please respond

sounds like what you describe should not be a problem. Same files here and there. Drop the technical team a note using the contact resource form. 420mb for 12 seconds isnot unusual depending on contrast and colors.
Best of luck, you'll like it here,

I don't know if it is the FTP system that is finiky or what, but I uploaded a video and it shows up, then uploaded another one, THAT WAS ENCODED EXACTLY THE SAME, and it won't show up. I don't know what is up here....

It take a few minutes from the time you upload a clip for all packets to reach P5. So go back login to see if both clips are there for taging.

Nope... nothing. It still says they are unable to be processed. I have changed some ftp settings.. .I think PASV mode was causing the problem. We will see in a few minutes. For some reason I think it would disconnect, then resume, but then it would sit at 100%, and basically error out to finish. Hopefully this will work.

I use Filezilla ftp software. I have it set to Passive transfer, haven't had a problem with that.

Do your transfers finish with no issues? Like it doesnt hang at 100%? I am going to try that next if this doesn't work :-)

Try turning off your firewall. for some reason, I had to do that because of the same problem of hanging at 100%
Sorry, I didn't think about that until you said it was hanging.
