Has anyone had experience with the newest LED hot shoe mount lights? The two versions I'm looking at are the Manfrotto ML360HP Midi Plus-36 LED Panel with Diffuser or the Manfrotto ML840H Maxima-84 Hybrid LED Panel.
They look like a great product for both fill lights, video lights and also can be used as a flash.
Any reviews?

Based on numerous positive recommendations on CheeseyCam, I recently ordered the Z96 LED light.

Very pricey... seems like there are comparable products (on CheeseyCam) for under $100 with dim-a-ble dial backs. Why go with this one?

One advantage on the Manfrotto is the ability to use it as an on camera flash. This way the camera is ready for both video and photo without making any flash change. I'm still deciding but the $69 price of the Z96 is attractive.

Not that this is anything like you're looking at but I bought this LED ring light/flash for that CSI shoot but also to do some macro video.
I was supprised at the brightness of the light and also the flash part.
Just know that this is still LED and the flash is only good for maybe 10-15 feet.
