Upload restarts after completion for videos on FTP

Hi,
I was having an issue with my FTP connection. For images that aren't too large they just upload to the site via the FTP connection, but when I upload videos I have issues at times. The video will upload upto 100% and then disconnect and restart the upload. Please let me know if this is due to any issue with my files or any setting I need to include.
