Tips and ideas to improve this song

The beat sounds latin to me... that's good. However, the melody sounds atonal against the chords, and I'm not a fan of atonal melodies. I am a filmmaker and frequently use music in my videos/films, but I don't think I would use this particular piece.

Of course, there are lots of other people and there is no way to say what their taste or needs might be in music. It might be exactly the right sound for some project out there.
