Such a beautiful day, a righteous endeavor and so much fun questioning BM ... Afterall they make it easy to poke with plenty of ammunition ... I wonder ... is the CEO of BM running for a political position and just practicing making promises ;)

The pro res as opposed to raw 'until further software update' is a big problem. I don't edit with mac, so this will be a great paperweight until the update for me.

I thought Premiere Pro on a PC would import ProRes but not export to it?

Also doesn't FFMPEG let you transcode from ProRes (not ideal of course but then neither is an expensive paper weight!)

You can edit prores on windows, you can't save prores in windows
RAW will come later as a firmware upgrade.

Good to know, I was not aware you could import Pro Res on Premiere or AE Windows. Thanks much for the info, I can be excited again. I am also looking forward to the 4k when it comes out, but waiting for it to be available before I fork over the committed cash.

And great companion still camera to the BMC pocket camera could be the Panasonic LX8 uses the same lenses and looks like a tourist camera, the whole kit would be very lightweight and good quality images.
