Hi,
do you know if stramclip works fine converting h264 to photojpeg?

Where is better to donload the last version of stramclip whithout any "bad surprise" (win version)?
The original site seems to be
http://www.squared5.com
isnt'it?

Thanks in advance

P.S: I've tried to use premiere to converte files, but sometimes it goes to "frizing" .... sometimes (40%).

It converts most any popular format, H264 to Photo & Motion Jpeg and it's free. The company web address at squared5.com is correct. There are some commercial products which may give you better results by up-converting to intermediate formats as AVI or ProRes, such as http://cineform.com/products/neoscene.

When I am not using CS4. I use streamclip.

You do need to have Quicktime or the alternative they suggest installed on your computer for Streamclip to work. Streamclip only access's the existing codecs on your computer, so you might be missing some codecs.

Thanks everyone for replys,
I've tried new version of streamclip and i've again some clips goes "freezing".
I think the problem is about Canon codec H264.
I'm goig to do some tests ..... any suggestion?

Even properly coded video will sometimes freeze a little bit on playback using Quicktime on a windows computer. The new versions of Adobe & Sony software will accept native footage from Canon, I use older software so I still transcode my Canon footage with Cineforms Neoscene. I could never get Streamclip to work for me.

@PlanctonVideo,

MPEG Streamclip shows a green screen and freezes. What should I do?

This may happen with some graphic cards. In this case, go to your control panel, open QuickTime settings, select "Advanced" and, in Video settings, disable DirectDraw acceleration. Please do not disable DirectDraw, but only DirectDraw acceleration; keep DirectDraw enabled or MPEG Streamclip will not display the player.
