Sales Frequency

I don’t think lowballing yourself on price is going to necessarily translate to more sales. Just my “2 cents.”

I also was thinking that low prices will bring in more sales. But some people here opened my eyes. I did few months with low prices and not a single sale. I went back to higher, and sale rolled in.

I can't speak on it either way as I too have tried it both ways, with and without GPP turned on. Seems no matter the price if the buyer needs it for a project for a deadline and you are the only one that has it then price is moot. I randomize my prices at times meaning as I upload I use a different price structures at times to have a balanced mixed pool. When my sales are low, I really go at it aggressively and upload like I have in the past couple days, a few hundred assets. That is my answer to the puzzle, film weird, film bonkers, film what ever the F you want to, then try to sell it, you may be surprised. Just keep going the sales will become more and more. For me seems the 1500 mark was when it took off. 2 years later this month my system is working great as I am at over 10,100 assets between my two accounts here, only here, all together well over 13k. Photoguy5000 is my exclusive Pond 5 account. Now I really price those videos and yes, they sell. So at the end of the day you just need a LOT of content. GLWS guys

And you can always have some clips with higher prices, some with lower and see how it goes. But dont go to low, you wont sell more!

I started with P5 about 14 months ago. I was getting a video clip sale about once every 10 days or so, which I was fairly happy with, considering the size of my port. But from about May of this year, I noticed a major downturn in sales. Indeed, I haven't had a sale from P5 since July, whilst video clip sales have increased on other platforms with a smaller portfolio. I don't think I overprice my clips - typically around $129 for 4k and $79 for HD.

All in all, I'm rather disappointed with P5 at the moment. Perhaps I'm not supplying the right sort of footage...
