IBP vs All- Intra

Yes, taken with the GH3 and the cheapest Panasonic lens (14-42mm f/3.5-5.6) which I bought used for $90. Overexposed to see the caterpillars under the shadow of the leave.

If accepted, will customers prefer the original camera All-I file or the processed Photojpeg re-compressed file? Mr Watson, that is the question. I want to add that this shot was taken with the tele-converter (2x) ON which uses the central part of the sensor only.

Nice shot. Let us know if Pond5 takes it. I've shot some things this past weekend with my GH3, and the conversion to P-JPEG really takes a toll on the quality. The original is so much better, especially in this example's sky; the P-JPEG has trouble reproducing the gradual change of purples in the evening sky. The original (ALL-I) Quicktime reproduces these subtle color variations very smoothly.

Question regarding loss of quality with render to PJPEG: Are you processing/rendering in 32bit? If not, you are taking your lovely 12bit video and killing it by downgrading to 8 bit before rendering to the final output which, I believe (and I may be wrong) is 24 bit.

I always work in 32 bit modes in Vegas and AE, otherwise banding ensues. The higher the quality of the original video and smoother the gradients, the more banding there would be otherwise.

PJPEG output is only 8 bit... I THINK :-)
