Subscription income worth it?

Hi all, was just considering uploading music for sale...but having read the forums Im a little dubious. If you set $50 as a track price, you get 35%....if a subscriber has full access to all music content for $25 a month...what does the composer get? The info provided is a bit complex to understand, but I can't see how the composer gets anything significant in a subscriber scenario? Maybe I am misunderstanding. Thanks all

hi.
in the subscription scenario, probably minimal amounts (one's revenue for a music clip i suppose is around $1, not sure, but dont get your hopes up).
that said, subscription, afaik, is obligatory, as in, if you dont want a clip included (by default) u have to remove it altogether (or deactivate?) from the portfolio.
sub sales were not motivating in my case, but u can't upload clips just for subs. u upload them for regular market and, underneath, theyre automatically included in subs.
so, u could still have motivating sales through regular market (depending on factors).

thanks Livingroomclassics, being relatively new to Pond5 type business model its hard to know what kind of quantity or direct/sub sales ratio to expect or if P5 is even a viable income stream? it seems if you don't have a significant catalogue uploaded its pointless and at $1 a track on subs how much time can you realistically dedicate to increasing your catalogue?
Do you have any experience of PRO income as a result of Pond5 sales? It might be worth it if somehow there's a residual potential
