Sony Vegas Crashing Solution

Yes, there is a way, but it works a bit differently in Vegas: See my "batch rendering" tutorial http://stockfootage.vadervideo.com/content/sony-vegas-pro-advanced-batch-rendering

For what it's worth, I've got Vegas crashing issues again, including one BSOD, but I think it's because I'm using all my 16GB RAM, and the computer cant' think, and I've got Vegas and AE accessing the same disks. Jake - if you have imported too much footage at once (I've found anything over an hour of unedited footage causes it, like a full 32 GB card, for instance) frequent crashes occur. In those cases I break up the amount of footage into smaller sections and keep a project file for each folder, as my project files keep me updated on what I have rendered or regions I have yet to work on, etc.

I just read this and it worked. It takes about 3 times as long to render but I haven't had a crash yet.
(but I still am learning Premier and getting away from Vegas)

go to options, then preferences and Turn (OFF) GPU Acceleration.
then apply the setting's and restart the program as normal.
let me know if this helps, turning off GPU acceleration is the 1st method to fixing this problem and works 90% of the time
for most people.

I was highly disappointed - GPU accelleration (after spending a couple hundred on a video card) slowed down my renders and made more crashes.

So yeah, GPU acceleration OFF

Me too, pretty disappointed.

All I use is Premiere Pro CS6. Stable and quick to crop, and make adjustments then save.

Can you rub it in just a little more please :)
