All info points to Nvidia cards, I need to upgrade to take advantage of CUDA. Never bought a computer since IBM x86 systems. I've always built bespoke systems according to my needs, these used to be cutting edge, but for how long?
In recent years I have gone against cutting edge and step back a little from the cutting edge as processing power isn't necessarily a primary decision. Recent upgrade has been SSD throughout, that's 1 disk for operating system and programmes, 2nd disk for general storage and 3rd disk for video production. P133 memory is serving well on an AMD Crosshair Motherboard with an AMD eight core processor (price was the governing factor, against i5's at the time). My graphics cards is an AMD Radeon 7800 series that is sufficient but doesn't provide quality real time previews in After Effects and Premier however I'm used to that as I come from a world before, I render, adjust and re-render, just a little bit of patience, these are only clips, not a movie right?
The system handles 4k video at any resolution and ratio, and as like me your probably looking at output on an HD Monitor anyway which isn't a true representation of the clips you are generating.
