Hmm scrawling, not sure. Sliming might work though. "Garden Snails Sliming Menacingly Across the Fertile Soils of Planet Earth".

Do it. A clip with a story is more likely to sell. Lots better than my snail clip "Snails in Love in the Rain". One of my favorite sci-fi short stories I've never forgotten involved rather large, man-eating snails....
