In terms of quality output...
what is the best AVCHD transcoder?
How do NLEs like AE CS4 and Sony Vegas stack up?
Thanks

Yes.
Neoscene and VoltaicHD are front runners for transcoders. Supposedly Neoscene procues a better quality output.
AE CS4 can import and edit AVCHD but I don't know if the quality is that good, and it's slow.

I use Neoscene for mine then bring that into AE for editing and final output.
Neoscene really makes editing easy.
