Hi all of you Pond5'ers
I have posted this subject to get your views on the demand for 3D / Binaural audio productions here at Pond5 and in general.
I do a lot of 3D audio productions - mainly field recordings but also 3D audio SFX. However I am not sure wheter to "brag" about this in my titles and descriptions as it may scare some customers off (stupid fear...).
My general view on the future for 3D audio is positve. More and more people are using smartphones with earplugs for news and entertainment and this enables the use of Binaural 3D effects.
Looking forward to hearing your views (I am new here, so all general advices are very much welcome)
Have a great one out there!
Regards,
Phonografen, Denmark

Hey Phonografen,
I have a few binaural recordings on here as well. Maybe they're too few to really draw conclusions, but so far I don't have the impression that they do any different compared to normal stereo recordings.
I mention it in the description and keywords, sometimes in the title also, but don't describe the "3D effect" too much, as I have the impression that few clients really care about or can put it to use.
I guess most of the projects our sounds get bought for are for commercials/movies/presentations and so on, where stereo is predominant. But who knows? With virtual reality and all...
Keep doing it, and it certainly would be interesting to read your experiences. :)
Cheers!
