how to upload footage to multiple sites at once?

Wanted to see if such a program exists and if any one can recommend one.

Most sites support FTP, and most of them import data via .csv metadata. Start working on a workflow and it will be easy.

I think, therefore I realize that uploading the same file, over and over, to multiple sites, is inconvenient at best.

One site to rule them all!

Upload once, disseminate from there.

Well, it would be worth $50-80 of internet fees here, per month.

We log our uploads and where files go. We rarely upload same file at same time to different sites... we have two main where files go, then slowly uploading to the rest of agencies. No need to upload at same time.

Thanks all. I was hoping there would be a program where you enter all the stock ties info and your uploads will mirror to all the sites so one upload will end up on all the sites. otherwise my net is pretty fast 200/25 and typically burn about 2-3tb per month uploading.

Man, if I had your connection I'd not worry so much. I don't know what you pay but $79//month US for 150GB cap at 10 down/1 up .. .not so good! Enjoy!

Not that you are worrying, but I was just saying, for comparison.

Mizamook, not just that long time ago we had that kinda crappy connection too... but we had a chance to place a miniature server with some storage on relatives home optic fiber connection. That is how we uploaded only once to a faster connection and spread files elsewhere from there. Or you can just throw on hard drive and plug in whenever there is faster connection (even at cafe bars sometimes they have fast connections).

Yes ... that's how it's done ... BUT ... our cafe/library/school situation is such that they have terrible connection. Things are improving though ... a new fiber optic connection to our little mountain town by the fjord has made things look better in future. At least we are paying less for better download. A couple of years, maybe ...

Felix,
Unfortunately all stock libraries are just "slightly" different from the next. I've tried so hard to format all of my music so that it could be ready to easily upload to all my sites but sadly I haven't been able to match all exactly.
I think it's a conspiracy to slow us down ;)
