If you are asking about Sigma 12-24mm then NO, it is not a prime. I think that this is widest available lens (12mm) for full frame Canon camera like 5D Mark II.

Zygis,
Was that shot with the 5d?
I would like a zoom but I need to stay with a prime because my need for being compact and weight when I'm using it on my car mount.

Don't worry about answering Zygis, I really need something more open than 4.5

Actually, what makes a lens "prime"?

Prime just means it is a fixed focal length, not a zoom lens.

Not sure what resolution you are shooting, but if there is room to crop you could fix the distortion with a lens correction filter. Some editing software will have this filter. I often shoot skylines with a 20mm, then straighten up the buildings with the filter so it looks like it was shot with a 50mm.
