Sundernagar, India - September 09, 2024 A gigantic Indian Rock Python, resembling an anaconda, was rescued from a cowshed in northern India’s Himachal Pradesh leaving the locals in shock. The massive reptile required the efforts of 8-10 people to be safely captured and later
released back into the forest. The incident took place at Baroti village in Daehr Tehsil in the Sundernagar subdivision of Mandi district on September 9. Visuals showed a group of people, around 8 to 10 in number, were seen struggling to lift a massive and heavy snake. The snake, thick and long, coiled and writhing, required the combined strength of multiple individuals to handle. Each person gripped a different part of the snake's body, their faces showing a mix of effort, concentration, and a bit of awe at the sheer size of the creature. The snake's scales gleamed under the sunlight, displaying a pattern of dark brown and olive green, typical of an Indian Rock Python. The group moved cautiously, ensuring they had a firm hold, as they carefully maneuvered the enormous snake into a large drum for safe transport. The surrounding onlookers watched in amazement and slight fear, some holding their breath as the men worked together to control the powerful, thrashing reptile.
