SD - anyone still shooting this quality?

Is anyone else still shooting (and selling) clips in SD format?
If so - are you using older cameras or just downsizing / remaking from HD?
I have access to some rather nice 'old' cameras and I just wondered.....

I don't think many shoot in SD any longer. All the SD clips I have I downsized myself. A practice I long since abandoned.

I think the die-hard BetaCam SP people probably will be the last to give-up on SD.

SD is still being purchased.. If it is good quality and framed well, they will still sell. Remember, SD can be used in native resolution when used as a PIP (Picture in Picture) for HD productions - I still have consistent sales in SD. Have camera will travel - if you have access, use them. :)

I'm not saying people don't buy SD, I'm just saying I don't think many people shoot SD-only. And I think the number of people who buy SD-only cameras are even far less.

I still have my Sony BVW300 BetaSP w/Fuji 14x lens... haven't picked it up for about 3 years... XDCam is much nicer, and lighter... the ol' Betacam sure is nice up on the shelf... think I'll keep it...

I upload SD versions of HD clips. If you have an existing stock of useable SD footage, you should consider uploading it. I sell many many NTSC and PAL clips per year.

For use in tiny little web videos, I think SD footage still has a future. I use a lot of SD clips squeezed down or in collages like vadervideo suggests. I price my SD clips around 20 bucks so no one has to agonize over whether to buy them, but it's all older stuff from my archives so there's not much else I can do with the footage.

I have only been shooting HD since mid-summer. Most of the work I was doing the year before that was web videos so no one I was working for cared about HD.

We have SD footage from all over the world as a result of a World Regional Geography project. Some of our DV clips are still selling quite well, but we have only shot HD since early 2007. HD can always be down converted if necessary, so I would not recommend using the older cameras to shoot stock.
