Why did sales drop off?

I know I don't have a huge portfolio. And I haven't been on pond5 for years like some have. But I was selling footage about 2 to 3 a month consistantly. Now I haven't had a single sell in 3 months. It's Luke I dropped off completely.

I would advise having an official website and use that as a main source of traffic. Although, you may be generating sales & traffic through here and other platforms, the more direct you can connect with others does help an easier process.

forgive my ignorance, do you mean lead the viewer back to Pond5 or just sell on website?

Not the only one. I haven't had a sale in 12 days.. highly unusual. October payout was my 2nd lowest this year after January?!? And September was my best month, 4 figure payout and now... no sales for 12 days...bizarre

I have a similar situation. Sales declined sharply.

sales declined for me too the last week, but only the last week, so...i dunno, it may just be a random happening

Talk about a dry spell, Only 1 sale in the last 3 and 1/2 months. Was slow and steady before, now just seems pointless. Page views are way down. Something must have changed. Saturation, probably, too many tracks to sift through.

What machkey said about direct connecting, is ideal, but the hard part is getting anyone to notice your website. Networking is a good way to go, meeting the right people, seeking out clients instead of hoping they'll stumble upon your tracks.

Another month no sales. I'm about to give up here. I was happy with a sale every couple of weeks as I don't have a lot of content up. But now it's been 4 months without a single sell.

Not a great month, but pretty good.
