Memberships Are Here!

We have launched a membership program!
This program has been in the works for quite a while, and the Pond5 crew has been hard at work designing an experience to benefit artists on both sides of the aisle - Memberships and Core Library.

We consciously only chose high quality content with lower volume sales that would benefit from being in the Membership Collection.  We included the content strictly with their enthusiastic consent, and are very confident that the better our Memberships do, the more that sales for ALL artists in the Pond5 community will benefit.

Search Results:
Our search algorithm has been improved to find more relevant content. There is absolutely nothing in the search results that will favor either Membership clips or Core Library clips over the other.  Users will see which clips are available in the memberships collections with a small icon tag.  Even when a Membership customer searches for Membership content only, Core Library results will appear on the same front page results with alternative options.  

I like to think of memberships as being part of a prix-fixe menu with our core collection being our a-la carte menu.  It’s not only designed to fit different customers’ purchasing needs, but we believe it will encourage Members to check back with P5 frequently and look for fresh content and explore different media types.

With the 10% discount that Membership customers get on our whole collection (we absorb that discount - not the artists), this is sure to bring some fresh new eyes to everyone’s best work.

We sincerely welcome any feedback you have and we promise to keep improving the Pond5 experience for everyone - the Artists, Pond5 crew, Membership and other customers.

## It took at least 5 seconds for the whole front to be showed completely.
I did not see a small icon tag on any footage, is it a bug?

## BTW: If P5 let us know how clips will be displaced beforehand, I would have consider to join. It does sound like a better idea than I was thinking. But the price for sub plan was way too low for me. Too bad..

Thanks for keeping us updated, in the near future do you intend to grow the Membership Library?
Would I be able to submit my content, and so on?

Thank you for this information Lawrence. I have faith that if anyone can make a fair subscription program that will work that well for everyone, Pond5 can.

Right now the Membership collection is closed, as we see how well it does at launch. We'll certainly be looking to add to it and keep it fresh in the future, so no worries - you'll be notified when that happens.

This is great, the nay-sayers are foolish. This is one of the best opportunities for artists.

Hey lawrence, for the people in the program... do we see what of ours is being sold when it sells? or get some sort of monthly recap?

Yes that would be great to get an idea of how many of our files are downloaded each month.

No one know who is "dumm" or "klug" yet? There is no evidence to prove if this is one of the best opportunities for artists ? Have you proofs ? Eventhough you have proofs, it doesn't mean good for every artists. We simply don't know yet which direction this sub plan will lead us to!?
