Mine shipped today, should have it Friday. Anyone else got theirs yet?

Or has everyone decided to stay with the grainy, noisy cell phones ;)

Im excited to see what you think of it. Playing around with it at NAB I found it was still too big for my taste. Who knows, in the end I may have to go that route anyway depending on what the 5d4 and gh5 bring to the table.

I'll probably get a 5D MK IV as a backup camera body to go along with it. Like I did with the 5D MK II and III. You are right, it is big.

Well, since the grainy, noisy cell phone produced my single best selling clip I think I'll forego the hernia - thanks! :) I'm with jakerbreaker waiting to see the GH5 and/or the A9.

Just curious Rekindle, what bitrate will you export as? 800 mbps would produce gargantuan files I would assume. I almost bought one but my internet is so freaking slow I can't even imagine uploading files that large!

I dunno yet. It will be delivered tomorrow. I'll have to play with it and see where the sweet spot is as far as data rate and quality. Too many unknowns still. I also have a very slow internet and there is only one option where I live. It takes about an hour to upload a 20 second 4K clip now.

You are going to need a ton of external drives. BBC only wants about a 300 mbs, so I guess the camera should have lower mbs settings.

The camera has fantastic specs for that small size. Did not see any 4k 60p@500mbs only at 29.97. The only thing lacking is a flip screen.

"It takes about an hour to upload a 20 second 4K clip now."

Should go to one of these government building (like you did in your last visit in the hospital) which offer free quick internet and just upload there. LOL

Sounds like my internet. Uploading a gig of just pictures takes over five hours. I could go to my library and upload there, it's faster, but when you're working all the time, it's tough to just sit there. Better to upload overnight.
