in the last 2 months i had 80% clips rejected while, in the past they were all accepted. and the last 8 clips rejected without any given reason.

There have been a few threads about this in the forums. Mostly in the artist only section.

Times change, adapt and persevere.

I sent 180 clips, and only 22 of them were accepted. 150 rejected

Sorry, we could not accept these clips. At this point, the clips with this topic that have a greater chance of acceptance on the site are both unusual and high-quality. The best way to tell whether or not your clip has a good chance of getting rejected would be to do a search on our site for what you're thinking of creating before you put in the time to make it, and see how many results come up. If it's something that has 100+ very similar results, then chances are we're not currently looking for more unless they're something we haven't seen before or something that will make us say "wow"Thanks again for submitting, and we look forward to seeing more of your work.

it was the curator of 75, I did not want him I Accepted video.
before I posted 710 video 678 accepted and 32 rejected. it's quite normal.

so i am not the only one. at this point better to stop uploading on P5 and continue only with SS, fotolia and so on.

I had 7 accepted and 5 rejected. To me it looks like they just looked at the thumbnail and chose the files with the strongest colours.

For my next shootings I will try to add more shocking pink and neon for pond5.

Still waiting for that newsletter that will give us clear directions what the new pond5 wants...

"so to preserve quality I up res'd the quality to 4K"
How is up scaling anything almost twice the original size preserving quality? All you have is soft 4k footage that will be rejected again.

I don't get the logic.

The good old days is gone! Accepting it.
Life must go on or go somewhere.
Good is not good enough, be great. When great is not enough, be excellent !! My 2 cents

Yes, most may be upscaled. But you're selling a product, not the end user.

Name dropping what "well known DP" does means nothing here.
They can do what they want on their projects.
Again, You're selling a product on this site.

Downscale looses 50%? Can you show me a link to that information?

But you can certainly justify what you want to do, that's not for me.

The idea of Stock photos or footage processing should be as close as possible to what is shot. I sell photos where they do not allow any sharpening and can only be upsized by 5% or less. This maintains technical quality. This gives the end user or producer the opportunity to use the highest quality to either up or down size to their needs. Each time edits are made data is lost unless the end user uses a program that is non-destructive. I would also like to see a trusted source that says downsizing 4K to HD loses quality. And true, DP means nothing.

Agree an end user is looking for basic quality but more important subject. The subject maybe a series with slight changes in tilt, pan, zoom etc etc. I just sold a series of a forest fire, four clips. All so very similar but such minor difference.

Upsizing HD or 2K or 3K to 4K is not being honest to an end user. Let them do it if they need to but we should give them the true pixels to work with.
