File Split Gap ... method to fix?

DJI sucks. Oh, yeah, different thread. Anyway, so I've got this footage, and it's pretty cool. But I was wondering to myself WHY did I stop recording right then? Am I nuts?

No, I'm not nuts ... it's DJI's automatic file split at 4GB. And in between the end of File 1 and the beginning of File 2, there is about a second (maybe two?) of nothing. Looks like this (one file is with the files placed end to end, the other is with the minimal gap that preserves the timing)

So ... I'm looking for a solution to morph the ends of the gap together, preferable perfectly, so I can use real time clip, but at least well enough so that I can fasterize it (time lapse) without a lurch.

I tried to do it manually, but those skills I have not ...

Most 4K cameras split at 4GB but the split is seamless and easy to work with. Yup, no doubt DJI screwed it up. Good luck.

If you butt the ends together in Premier Pro and remove a few frames will it work?

I'm amazed you was able to get that high and move that well across these majestic mountains, well done!! If it did a flyaway or low battery there would be no chance of finding it.

Right now trying (choke gasp $595!!) Re:Flex Morph. This is the closest so far: https://youtu.be/jLVrPx6I2wM

Removing frames is opposite what I need ... creating them is difficult automatically due to the fact that all elements in frame is moving, but there's fine line.

It's not a drone.

Looks more like helicopter or aircraft but why blame DJI then?

Using DJI camera (Z3)

OK, got it. The new 3 second clip looks good to me. What happens when you slow it 50% to a 6 second clip? Is there more of a stutter?
Mizamook 18 Oct 2016 22:26
Well the three seconds is a tiny snippet of a much larger clip. That's realtime. Slowing it is really bad, but if I could put out a realtime version with this 3 seconds (part of the sweet spot!) I'd be stoked .. it's almost close enough to try the long range timelapse version, but first I'm gonna try a Boris trial (I could get the Warp module for $199) I really don't want to hack up a $595 hairball right now ... sales aren't supporting it.

I got it pretty good .. just the clouds stop moving and then fade out/in ... hard to warp indistinct objects, it seems. Pretty close, but I'm not happy. Boris is no good for this. RE:Flex is too expensive. I think I'll give up for now ... here's a 4K mp4 upload.
