@OP I have no idea what you're using but I've upload 4096 X 2304 down 3840 X 2160 in AE. In fact there is even a resizing tool in the QT pulldown and also in the Comp settings.

I'm only been able to export 4K MP4 files out of PPro or AE using the Media Encoder. The Media Encoder seems to be more flexible.

I plan to pick up the Z-100 in about a week's time. Although I do have concerns about the noise and low light capabilities I think it could suit my needs quite well shooting a lot of outdoors nature material. Not enthused about having to spend an extra $1500+ on memory cards though! Plan to upgrade to Edius 7 too to handle editing - the joys of adapting to a new work flow await!

be careful not to stop down too much, I see my sensor has dust spots on it... or they are on the lens front element, but they are not removable... :-/ .

I'm still not sure if I'm keeping the camera...in testing phases still.

Good thing for that B&H 30 day return policy.
Do they have that for Phantoms? :)

Hi EarthcutTV, I think Edius is the way forward, for now, there roots in broadcast TV through Grassvalley systems is a good pedigree that many on here might not be aware of. Although I don't have a 4k camcorder my research points towards Edius 7 as being a good solution for now.

I did a Google on comparison between Edius Pro, Premiere Pro and others. Over-all several were not overly impressed with Edius as a mainline program. For sure it is a learning curve for all of us.

So what are most of ya'll shooting at for 4K;
3840x2160
4096x2160
4096x2304
Seems like 3840x2160 keeps the 16:9 HD proportion and easier to down convert. Some call 4096x2160 as true 4K.
So what are ya'll using?
