I tried ftp again yesterday and all failed. Tried the web uploaded and one out the bunch failed. P5 has said they know of the problem but never an update with so many Artists reporting the same problems.

I usually upload close to 100 as I simply can't control myself when in the field and constantly overshoot, I usually set things to upload 11pm and by morning its all there and did verify a couple of times recently and all files made it to the site.
This is what has me wondering....why I have no problems but others seem to have some troubles uploading, it could be possible that something gets overloaded and crashes so the files coming in via the FTP server aren't flipped to the site or are delayed.
That did happen once over at VB and back in my TV news days we had a program called FlipFactory and it would crash if hit with too many uploads at ones.
I'm kinda thinking it's something along those lines, what we had to do at the station was a hardware upgrade so that FlipFactory wouldn't crash and had headroom to spare.
This situation might be different but never know.....lots of 4K and VR stuff coming in now taxing resources......maybe.

Tried a batch via FTP yesterday (5 Jan). Partially uploaded the first file in the batch and never got over 20% before starting over on the same file. Now I have 14 iterations of the same partial upload that are stuck saying "Processing" that I can't get rid of. Uploaded the same batch via the web site with no problems. Leaves me wondering - is the issue with P5 or Filezilla?

i haven't been able to upload with the site uploader for about a month. at best I'll upload 100 and check in the morning and only 5 are in. I've just been using FZ instead for now.

I suppose one could try in FileZilla going into the edit tab and then connections and maxing out the timeout setting.....in case the window is closing too soon for some.
I'm uploading a large batch now, probably the last large batch for awhile as I need to focus/learn marketing to get what I have selling but the only thing I'm seeing here and at ss is a slower upload speed but everything is making it onto the site.
I'm not sure if the slower upload speed in on my end or server side as I live in a student house with 9 others using the internet.

SS slow ftp it worldwide. I get about 1/4 normal speed. I now open four ftp uploads so it balances out as full speed.

Happily, we now have the fibre optic internet connectivity here in Kenya. though it is expensive, it is very fast and reliable. for the first time since the beginning of 2015, i have been able to upload over 100 clips in two batches and without dropping a single clip. i am using ftp.pond5. speed of 3.5mps is good enough.

Woke up this morning just to see that all my uploads failed. (ftp.pond5.com)

@Cinecamera, Does the FTP software and/or the P5 website give you some kind of error message/code/number when a file fails? That might be a clue for those and for P5 for troubleshooting purposes.

No failure codes showing on my end.
