This is just my opin, im not a record co executive, but I do listen to a lot of music, everything from Tori Amos to Hans Zimmer and Andreas Vollenweider Through to Led Zep, Pink Floyd and AC-DC thus meaning my musical taste is pretty diversified, so I felt I could give some comments on this. For me this piece does not feel right as if it doesn't flow correctly not sure if this helps or not but it just feels like maybe something with the timing and the way the chant like voicing comes in just feels like its not working with whats going on. Again that's just my opin after listening to the piece.
I am sure others here who compose this type of music will be able to give you there opinions as well. I just wanted to chime in and let you know my thoughts on this.

Thanks for the input SFXDude. I guess I'm still going through the learning phase. There's composing music for the every-day listener and there's composing to make it suitable for tv etc. I'll take your opinion on-board :)

Hi Orion, I'm not focussing on this style of composing myself now, although I can relate to what you're making. I've have some ambient ones myself (more or less). My first suggestion would be to pick a more defined and/or shorter theme, what's easier for the listener to pick up. In your other pieces I see you do. I know it's ambient, but it's imo not only about the mood, but also to keep the listener (with the pictures) involved. My 2 cents for what it's worth. Good luck anyway!
