Problem with upload

Hi Guys, I'm a newbie here and I have just started to upload some files to the site. I'm using the Java uploader, everything seems to upload OK but they do not always appear in the Untagged Footage section - they seem to get lost.
Is this usual ? I guess that reading some stuff on the forums here that this sometimes happens - is that the case ?
It's no great problem other than it takes forever to upload a 300MB clip only to find that it does not appear.
Happy to be here and part of the team though !

Hi Kennon,
Thanks for the quick reply. It's no real problem but I have found that if I upload files in two's they both get through, anymore than two then only one seems to get through - a bit odd !
So, I now upload in two's.
Thanks

A few weeks ago I was using the java uploader and uploading 10 at a time - usually overnight, and they all happily uploaded one after the other. Now I upload more than one and the first one uploads and the rest don't go at all. Is anyone esle experiencing this problem? Also has anyone had any problems with filezilla? I add files to the queue and the first one uploads and when at 100% starts to upload again and again so again the rest of the queue don't budge - very frustrating!! I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still no change!!

I had this EXACT same problem for almost a year. At first I thought it was a problem with Pond5 (and another site I submit to). After that, I blamed FileZilla. However, after finally getting frustrated enough to start doing some research on the subject I discovered that my Internet Router was about 7 years old and the router itself was dropping the "inactive" connection with Pond5 and other sites during very large uploads. The latest firmware update for my router did not fix the problem, so I sold my router and bought a brand new one. THAT fixed the problem. My new router no longer drops inactive connections. I would try downloading and installing the latest firmware update for your router. If that doesn't work, consider getting a new router.
