Marketing ideas

Personally, I can't deal with the negativity right now so maybe some constrictive ideas and some questions.
Pond5 has been coming up with some bazaar ideas and its kind of funny that its always the other sites fault this site isn't selling. Especially blaming the smaller sites?
When this site has the absolute most videos of any other stock company.
What happened to the web sizes if you're trying to get low budget people?
Why did that disappear without a trace?
Bring that back and push those along with that app you have (had?) to create social media videos. Maybe convert to square format.
Exclusive? If you had asked anyone that's been in this business for any length of time, we would have told you that was a fail. No one is looking for exclusive or at least an extremely small amount of people.
And from the chatter here and elsewhere, the exclusive people aren't selling anything so what happened to the customers you mentioned in that recorded video in April you mentioned that were asking for it?
But even as you're doing it, it's not exclusive if you're moving them to your partner sites.
I mentioned this before, since it's really not exclusive, call it select or some other name to give a new spin.
One idea I haven't seen from you guys is some marketing. Not just email blasts about editorial or steep discounts. (I think we've had enough of that)
Lately I'm seeing a lot of YouTubers that have stock sites as sponsors.
I don't see that from Pond5, maybe some of that as a start?
Especially if you're trying to get low budget social media people as customers.
Contact some of these YouTube people that have a hundred thousand subscribers.
Facebook ads? I see other sites but not Pond5

i'd improve even the search engine here....when i look for a clip i see a lot of unrelated contents...

That's anywhere. Unrelated contents is mostly because of wrong or spam keywords.
Which that needs to be cleaned up.
But I agree, better search engine will help.

Anytime a discount is given then require a credit to be shown where clip came from. I see it all the time on TV, movies so help them and let them help in return. Easy to put a 2 second credit to P5 on YouTube discounts.
Yes spam is bad, far too many auto keyword generator users or blind cut and paste from similars. The lazy don't go back and review keywords for accuracy. Of course we all make mistakes but many are rubbish keywords. I'm sure P5 could afford a person to do nothing but searches everyday and when inappropriate results return tag the clip and send it back to the Artist to fix and re-approve.
Make it the most fair and friendly Artist agency and let buyers large and small know that "we" are the most important and always bet the biggest share of each sale. It worked for years and reputation is paramount.
Keep track of the small agencies but stop panicking on every change they make. No one in the industry has come up with a new game plan that has worked long term.
Update the front page with new sample clips on a very regular basis. The page never looks fresh for long long times.
Treat your long term loyal Artist with the respect they have earned by building P5. New corporate sellers are low hanging fruit but the long term steady loyal Artists are still the core.
Pull programming back into the same building so communication is immediate and there is accountability. Telephone are great but not the answer to ensure accountability.

The other day P5 had something about flash ads admittedly I didn't pay a lot of attention to it . What if thousands of contributors put 5 or 10 ads on using their clips , would it make a dent?

Better visibility for social media and sharing buttons to easily share clips.
Give contributors a much better looking page.
Give customers the option to follow artists AND individual galleries AND specific searches.
Create a personalized „my feed“ page, like on pinterest.
That would help customers a lot, especially the regular customers.
More interesting stories on facebook or other social media pages. Get people really hooked on following pond5.

i think the key is to give a buyer a good experience when he comes here to buy...i was looking for a venice aerial footage and this is the first page results...
https://www.pond5.com/stock-video-footage/1/venice-st-mark-square-aerial-view-italy-flying.html#1/2063/venice-st-mark-square-aerial-view-italy-flying
well,a lot of pretty similar content with very small difference between the first 28clips!!!,is quite frustrating go through all those similar clips...first of all they should reject clips that are too similar from the same artist, sometimes less is better...then fix the search engine to show a mix of high/low price and visually different clips from different artists...buyers don't have time to lose...
the search was done using "best match" filter...

Maybe instead of a pass card a dumbbell for those who advertise clips at 25 for HD and 50 for 4K.
