Was Stockerwill a scam?

I joined this platform a few months ago after watching this guy on YouTube mention he made sales from them. I decided to join for a few extra dollars. The first thing that caught my attention is they were running popup ads as if to monetize the actual site leading me to believe sales must be bad with them. Against my better judgement I Idid and uploaded a small batch (458) the upload and submit functions were the worst of any platform so I stopped. Last week the site went down for maintenance and now is down for good it seems. I am not willing to say it was a scam just yet until I see my images floating around, I track every single image and where it was uploaded to. I don't like to speculate but I am sure at least one of you have some experience with this site and maybe someone knows exactly what is going on. I am just over here happy I did not fully commit. The guy that showed the screen shot of his sales also only uploads and talks about a few unheard of sites so I am def suspicious of this cat. Most creators upload to Shutterstock and Adobe but not this guy, he promotes some sketchy sites. I may dig deeper later but for now no harm done and the site could pop back up and it was all just a goofy notion. GLWS

Never heard of them.
I'd say you uploaded to them and now you don't really don't know where your videos are. Maybe being given away or sold from elsewhere.
So, probably a scam or like other sites that popup, they try and then fold without warning.

Here is the skinny on new sites that pop up.
Don't do it, no really, don't ever...
You will always waste your time and loose the videos you uploaded to them.

If you want to make money, there are only three sites
Pond5, Adobe and Shutterstock. Although, I worry about Shutterstock with what they pulled.
So maybe only two sites left.

Sorry this happened to you, you're not alone.

So Stockerwill.com is owned by someone in Yerevan, Armenia

The site has been online for a little over a year. enough time for him to gain quite a lot of videos for himself.

Thanks Jake, lucky for me they either did not accept video or they did not promote it. I would not have uploaded video to anyone outside of Pond5, Adobe, Shutterstock, Depositphotos, Dreamstime and Stringr. Those are my main video sites. I appreciate you doing that research, pretty low how these jokers operate. I also only;y uploaded 458 of 8000 images, no sales so no loss and the images, well they are different so they may get caught if that was their true nature, who knows. All is good and hopefully nobody goes nilly willy uploading to the off brand sites lol

One time I came across two players who run YouTube and Twitter channels geared more towards editorial news and weather and they offer the unwitting public a chance to have their videos "featured" on their channel, same two fellows upload said content to stock sites and sell it in addition to the YouTube channel.

One of the guys just happens to have the iconic Canadian "Lawnmower man" photo as an NFT, the shot of the guy mowing his lawn in Western Canada with the large tornado behind him, he didn't take the photo but it's minted it as an MFT and it selling it as his own.

There's no limit to the shady business in this industry.
