Dear P5
I think a good feature is one that would allow contributors to set a sale price for a specific period. Lets say you want to have a 24 hour sale. You could enter a universal clip price (would be for all clips) and set a time limit - 24 hours, week, etc. At the end of the specified time frame the clips would revert back to normal price automatically.
Perhaps divide it up for HD and 4K clips. Would anyone else like to see this feature?
Thanks Sean

And why would you want to do that? Stats show clearly that "sales" don't work, haven't worked and never will work. The nature of stock footage is people buy when they need it, not because it is on sale.

I agree with VaderVideo.
I tried that (cut prices) many times with a lot promo on all social network available. NO SALE!

Hey guys - I would have to disagree with you on this. I run a site called VJVault.com Basically we give away free VJ (video jockey) clips and had a paid loop shop before it was hacked . Make a long story short we would have sales on clips and would always see an increase in sales Anywhere from 2 to 10x increase in sales for the month. VJ's are always looking for new content, but are always low on funds. Plus we have a mailing list of 32,000 plus VJ emails who specifically signed up for deals. I can see why it would not work for standard video clips, since producers are looking for specific clips, but VJ's are a little different - it if looks cool - they will take it.

P5 already does this on a regular basis, 25% off at shows and conventions that last for sometime afterwards. Yes P5 eats the lost commissions for us ... A great company where we are not asked to contribute to the discount. As a overall site it can work, individually I agree with Vader and Sev. Desperation discounts highlights companies ready to close down.
