how i add an hyperlink to item description?

is it possible to add an hyperlink in the item description??
i have tried with standard html code but it did not worked!

Just did as in the forums:
[link]http://othercliplink[/link]

In the forums is [link]http://othercliplink Other clip name[/link]

I tried before with other bbcode and html but doesn't work at all.
So I tried to format links to related clips in the description field as I did in the forums, in order to avoid customers have to copy/paste each url manually.
