Complete newbie questions

I just bought a After Effects template and was hoping to simply change the text and be good to go. It isn't that simple if you're green like me.

Anyways, after unzipping the download, there are 2 editable files in separate folders. It is the Carpe Diem template and the two editable files are labelled "main" and are in the Carpe Diem folder and the Carpe Diem pre-rendered folder.

Which one do I choose?

Also, After Effects is telling me that I need to get that particular font and that I'm missing two effects that are required to make it all work. The help file provides a link to that font download but it costs at least another $30!!! I don't even know where to find the additional effects and how much they will cost.

Any help will be appreciated. Better yet, can someone just do this for me and send me the finished product if it really is that easy? haha. I'll pay

Have you contacted the artist that created it?
About the font, just substitute a font you have.

Apparently it requires an effect known as trap code Shine which costs another $100!!

I asked the author to see if he can finish the logo for me. Not sure if this is allowed but would save a lot of hassle.

Oh yeah. I see he has that in the description
