Hello,

excuse my question, i'm just a hobby graphic designer.
Am i allowed to use the footage i've purchased on Pond5 commercially?
For example to use them to make animated windows backgrounds and sell theme here:

Nope, you're not allowed. You can read the License Agreement for full explanation about do's and don'ts

Ok, thanks. I've just read it. I thought such stock images and videos were exactly for that purpose. So it's for personal usage only? And there is nothing like an extended license for commercial usage?

You should ask Pond5 directly, not in the forum.

A good question... basically you cannot resell the purchased material "as is", for example you can't buy stuff off pond5, slap a filter on it and resell it on SS. Windows backgrounds are a bit murky area tho.
You may use the material "commercially" in that it is used as part of a commercial project, say a documentary which is aired on commercial stations or corporate video which is "sold" to the client, or background music for a commercial video game (tho in that case I'd advise contacting the composer and trying to purchase exclusive rights.)

Imo ask pond5 and be safe, as others have suggested.
