Are you sticking with UHD or going to jump to 4K cinema

FWIW, I want the file size of H264, the quality of ProRes 444, the recording times of AVCHD and the playback ability of Photo-jpg.

That's what appeals about the Blackmagic cameras, they shoot in ProRes or DNG RAW, at some point you have to decide on a feature set and forgo some of the other bells and whistles. For instance way back I bought the original Canon 7D because it offered 60p which I thought would be great for slow motion, turns out the sensor was too noisy for microstock photos and I didn't shoot enough slow motion to make the purchase worth while, so I ended up selling it for the 5D MK2 for better ISO noise and 1080p video and made far more money from the photos.

I would love to see a Blackmagic version of a Sony AX100 shooting 4K in ProRes 4.4.4 or even 4.2.2 (12 bit or 10 bit) to SD cards. I think the URSA Mini is too big for my travel run & gun.

The C100 Mark II would be perfectly in terms of price and technology IF it had a 10Bit 4:2:2 codec (preferably ProRes) and RAW. 4K would also be great :-)
Canon is out of their mind to charge 18000,- EUR for the C300 Mark II.

Both, although I think I have more cameras that do UHD at various frame rates then 4K Cinema at the moment.

Next "C100" will propably do 4K.As for 10-bit im afraid even to speculate.
At this point if someone truly needs a 10bit 4K camera he will have to go to Blackmagic, but im not quite sure yet if the ursa mini is
the real deal.
Anxious to see more footage from it,and still waiting to hear about the native and the rest of the iso's.CFast 2.0 though makes the camera way too expensive, size, weight, and also v-mount batteries make it almost impractical for most stock shooters as i see it.

Too bad blackmagic hasn't considered upgrading the original bmcc for 4K.I would have already ordered one, that camera along with the pocket are in my opinion still the best cameras from them.

I would rather have 30fps than the 4096, so my little ax100 does 30fps @ UHD. I'm not even sure if it does the 4k... My fs700 does 4096, so I use it on there @ 30fps.

I have a friend in Hollywood that does commercials for Movie Theaters. He said he doesn't care if the footage he buys is 4k Cinema or UHD. He uses both. It's the quality of the footage (first) and price (second) that matters more to him. He also prefers footage at 30p (29.97) because they do HD versions of spots for TV. He sometimes has issues with footage shot at 24p or 25p.

My thoughts are that as time goes on the more "pro" cameras will probably offer more cinema 4K options to separate themselves from consumer cameras with just UHD.
