Hello,

To experts and owners of 5Dm2: can you make the night clouds video (NOT time-lapse) using Canon 5D Mark II?

Any example video?

sure if you crank up the iso and it also has to be full moon or you won't see anything. In this case it's better to make a time lapse.

What do you want to do exactly?

I think it all depends on how bright it is. I tried in Yosemite National Park on a full moon in July with the iso cranked all the way up and it was not bright enough. Maybe with full moon and snow or city lights it might work.

Thanks for both of you. Just checked if any owner of D5m2 made a NON-TIMELAPSE video of clouds at night and what settings and lenses they used.
To make a time-lapse of clouds / moon at night there is no big problem, e.g. this one was done with Olympus E-500, ED 50-200mm F2.8-3.5 SWD lense, exposure about 1s:
