Why is this system so inefficient?

Nordus 3 Feb 2015 13:27
I'm trying to sell tracks on this site for 3 years. During this time only on one track 68 views. And he has a sale. The remaining 39 tracks are display only from 0 to a maximum of 5. Of course, they are not for sale. All my tracks are well stocked with tags. Prices are low. So, potential buyers simply do not see. I think 3 years is a very bad results. In this system fault. On the other stocks for 2-3 weeks at most of the tracks on 10-30 display. I do not understand how things work with this system. Do not see the point.

No wonder you have only 40 tracks you need a minimum of 150 or 400 to get some sales here. I see others who have 30 thousand clips here and they definitely get good sales.

Even 400 is a low number to get consistent sales. It looks like most or all of your music is synthesized same basic sound. Yes many different beats. Not sure there is a huge market. Can you generate music that has a different sound to it. The key to any stock is finding the niche that is highly desired by buyers and not just what the artists likes to do. Good luck.

I understand Nordus where you are coming from, my thoughts are that your biggest chances are upon a new releases to be seen and get pick up from there. I see this on here and on AJ too. What does that mean in the long run? Try to post in the topic section forum above such as "recently approved" this creates views on your newly released items, and finally when you do get a sale, post that up there to on "Recently sold". I'd almost go to say don't post all your new songs in big blocks, do them in smaller groups, to create smaller waves of releases, rather than one big wave that can get lost in the releases behind yours.

Finally, link all you music together, so that someone looking at your songs can see the other works that are similar, this is important, especially leading off your most regularly viewed works.

But it all does come down to what are customers looking for and what has been echoed by our other fellow artists. You can see on the audio section home page, the most recent search patterns too, which may come in handy in your approach to the next music releases in varying your style.

Good luck though.

Many thanks to all for your answers.

danielschweinert - Why do I have so many tracks and only then will the sale? That is why I am talking about the inefficiency of the system. My tracks are another 10 stocks. And there Visits over the last month more than here in 3 years. But if here is no display, no sales. Here, the system can not provide views. On the other stocks, for example, when someone searches for a specific track, it shows and other tracks that could possibly come to him as well. And thus, provides a view.

RekindlePhoto - I think in my tracks still used a lot of different sounds.
And I think that the key is, above all, the ability to provide a drain views. When there's views, and it is clear - whether buyers for this music or not. If track 0 views 3 years, what can be said?

NaplesMedia Thanks for the advice. I periodically place the tracks in the sections of which you speak, and in others as well. Thank you and other tips, I'll try to do it. But I do not really believe that it will help. Some of my songs are in the top of search results here, and it does not help to increase the number of views.

If you are interested, here there is another of my music can be more serious. http://olegmamchits.com/

there isn't an amount of clips to get sales... have good content.

You got some great advise from some top sellers. For me I do not believe posting in the "just approved" or " just sold" helps at all. Buyers are here to buy and not to spend endless hours reading a forum. Problem is when a new P5 submitter doesn't have sales like they want most will blame everything but their own part of the equation. Doesn't really sound like you want suggestions. Wish you sell.

I got 139 files and i get consistent sales each month, never had huge drops on this market,i find Pond5 a lot more efficient than other markets. Also 40 files is not much really and i have to be honest with you,90% of your music would not even get approved on other markets, most of it is single instrument electronic and harsh stuff that a lot of people could make within an hour.
And also lowering your prices too low will make your music look very cheap,i got a feeling if there was no 15$ limit you would sell your music for 3$.
Make longer, high quality tracks with higher prices and you will have sales.
