The SD slot on the AX1 has no current function. I hear a firmware update will permit shooting 1080 to it. Not sure about the Z100s SD slot or it's abilities.

I should also note, my i7 iMac had problems playing the AX1s 4K 60fps clips. I can't imagine what machine would be needed for smooth editing with Z100 footage. Buying the Z100 might also require buying a whole new workstation.

I have a boring old Windows 7 PC (OK not that boring 32GB or RAM and a RAID 0 pair of Velociraptor drives for media!) which will edit Red Epic 5K footage without too much grief in Premier Pro.

Z100 arriving this week!

Most computers these days can edit 4k, but none of mine can play a 4k file in pjpeg through wmp or QuickTime.. Look forward to watching my footage on a 4k tv someday.

I found the KMPlayer version 3.6 to be the best 4K player on my notebook. You can zoom and play in the player itself too

Grant Petty on the 4K BMC camera and 4K in general.
He says the 4K camera will ship this quarter. (heard that before)

Got mine right away but had to send it back. Defective. Massively noisy. Major bummer. Hopefully get the replacement soon.

That doesn't sound good. I usually give a new camera six months before I buy it. I figured Sony had as much or more experience than any company and should get it right.

Did you send it back to Camera store of Sony?
