Good to know, but I think you still need proof at some point that you're a student or a teacher. Don't they require a copy of a school-issued ID?
That's the way it was years ago.

Yes you need a student ID card or a student e-mail address at a school or university to prove to Adobe. So yes you need to be a legitimate student or teacher.

There are rules and restrictions to Adobe's academic program. I remember reading on Amazon once about a student who purchased an Adobe product who's application was rejected.
Not all academic school's are accepted, this link should clear up those restrictions, i hope this helps and good luck my fellow artists.

"Guys that earn $10,000 / day in P5 with a million $ in gear" - That's actually the funny part, good one.

If you're on a budget you should also take a look at "Hit Film PRO 3.0" that it's being released. They offer a discount if you pre-order. The also offer Hit Film Express for FREE. It looks great but I didn't used since I have Adobe CC.

This thread had really nothing to do with price. It was about advantages of CC over CS 6. Everyone is right, if you cannot afford several hundred a year for software then should not be in this business.
So back to technicals between CS6 and CC and forget prices.

Wow, What a statement !!
May be so: if you can afford several hundred or thousand a year for software then should not be in any business, instead retire in Hawaii, and let young artists do the dog bite dog business. LOL :D

Testing CC: From CS4 to CC is like going from a propeller plane to a rocket ship. It's going to take some learning, unlike Vegas Pro which is so easy.

CS4 was the worst version of the Adobe suite.
