Scott is right I believe. Gamers, real estate sales, resort and vacation demonstrations, I-Max dome 360 theaters. A long way from any mainstream TV use. I can't imagine the fights ... just think about fighting over a remote control. Now give one person the ability to pan a TV show from side-to-side. Get ready for some divorces ;)

Most 360 clips for many years will be from GoPro quality cameras with bit rates from 5-40Mbps. I guess the life of quality versus convenience and cheap is happening. Few want to invest in quality anymore. An extra $500 or even a few thousand and everyone is Professional.

Don, just one correction. Current bitrate for a 4K clip from 6 gopros is 300 mbps.

Orah 4i 360 that is making headlines shoots at From 5 to 25 Mbps according to their own specs. That doesn't sound too professional. GoPro is probably better.

"Current bitrate for a 4K clip from 6 gopros is 300 mbps." Is it really a 4k clip or a six 4k clips stitch together to make a spherical 24k image.

The bitrate of this clip is 300 mbps. The boat is making 180 degree turn:

This one is also 300 mbps. The planet is making 360 degree turn:
