I talked about Canon service in the other thread. Got it back, definite and big difference this time. The sensor was clean and photos and video look so much better as far as sharp. Turn around is very fast at Canon, they just need to test the camera a little better before returning. I'm still sold on the 5D MKII on phot and videos.

I am one of those "research geeks" and before I spend more than $100 on anything, I do a ton of research on it.
So I spent two days reviewing videos uploaded to Vimeo, YouTube and Cinema5D shot with the T1i and pretty much 90% of them were cr*p when viewed in HD. Way too much low-light noise (worse than my HF11) and really bad sharpness issues. When you resize the video down to around SD or web site, it looks MUCH MUCH better, but that doesn't do my any good for shooting stock.
So... I've decided to not get the T1i right now and instead just save the money and wait until I can get the 7D in a month or two.

The interesting thing is that Lucas has a TON of pull with the camera companies. He's the one that got them to make the first 24p digital video camera.
If he said "I want an inexpensive camcorder with a built-in 35mm lens mount so that I can deploy 30 of them to shoot every seen from nearly every angle", they'd do it.

lol
This is the best part:
."Not codecs, limitations, bit rates etc…all those are very important but the most important thing by far for them is how it actually looks and it passed with flying colours"
lol its funny to read the old 5D Mark2 thread that Jake Started over a year ago:

I just got a Lilliput 7-inch HDMI with external battery and it's fantastic. Very clear.

Comes with a hot-shoe mount too. You'll need a visor for it to use it outside, I've discovered.
