Dataset earnings

The Data set earning have been reduced to 20% of earnings payment. Pond5 will payout when the earning payout @20% has been achieved as per total payout (nobody knows what the threshold is). Nobody knows what % we earnt before the decrease, and nobody knows how the new 20% will be paid out at what time period, so it is impossible to calculate when we will see dataset earnings being paid out to any of us and at what time it will be paid out.

It could be another two years until we see any dataset earnings paid out, and in that time it could be a new company that has us locked into a completely different contract (Getty) in which case forget the dataset earnings completely!

The sooner you guys realise what a scumbag of a company P5 and SS is the better.

There is no way to work out when the pay out threshold is met, telling us that our % earnings was reduced to 20% only means that we would earn less and payout threshold would take more time to achieve.

my understanding on datasets is that:

1. dataset earnings occur for the people that have been included in some specific deal. some company, say, wants to train on a subset from pond5 - that is a subset, it does not necessarily include every single contributor. so, when a particular deal happens, it doesnt mean everyone on the site gets a payment, only those who happened to be included in that particular deal;

2. deals happen when they happen. for any given contributor, they might or might not be included in a deal during the year. i suppose pond5 can even make no deals at all in an entire year (or maybe even none at all for years/ever). if a deal happens and it includes some contributors, they will get dataset payment - but deals dont like happen at fixed dates - just because last year there were payments in autumn (i guess just for some), doesnt mean it's always in autumn (nor that every year there must be a payment).

payments are entirely deal dependent.

so just dont plan on those payments (and it might be a pleasant surprise if they happen).

if you plan, u might get disappointed..

well, i have 0,17 dollars from data set earnings in october 7th, this must be a joke.

Had payments from Adobe and SS for training the AI slop with my uploads. Haven't received a cent here though. Curious how it works.

At the end of every year, i get about 87$ of dataset earnings .
Check your libary again and tell me what the difference is ... ?
