auto-set price if template is blank

if the template has no price value, I think the field should be auto-set for the user. I use templates for different video sizes, and some of them have different pricing.

I recommend setting the price at either the minimum for the clip, or a value that is configured by the user in template settings.

Setting at minimum is a bad idea. That may make new artists believe that $10 for HD is standard when in fact the average HD here at P5 is over $64. A user configured price would be a far better choice. Oh wait, isn't that value already available? It is for me.

I am talking about default values, not user-configured. it is good practice for software development to auto-configure as much as possible, it makes it easier for us to do our job, which in this case is to prepare clips for submission.

Oh, I guess I miss-understood your suggestion.

I agree set the template price at the average price of the product. So in this case it would be $64.62 for HD clips and a default of $44.70 for SD clips. I think the average is a good starting point. Should satisfy the upper end and lower end sellers since it's a good average. Then if the quality is better the artist can move it up and if the quality is poor they can move the price down. Great idea.

Seems bold face might not be working. I tried to highlight " ... or a value that is configured by the user in template settings"

or even better, just keep track of the last price inserted and auto-fill it with the price last used for the previous video.

one day you'll have your $1 hd files and you won't have to change it.
