Hummm, still not a sterling video card. About the same as I have in PC. AMD Radeon R9 M290X graphics processor with 2GB of GDDR5 memory.

Looks like at $3,500 for a reasonably setup system.

Pretty amazing it took so many years to realize Intel was right all the time ;)

I wonder is made in China still and only engineered in the USA?

The 5K display is nice but I bet it demands more horsepower than the system can deliver. The techspecs are so so. A dual GPU (GTX980 with minimum 6GB) would be fine or make that iMac thicker and integrate a real full fledged GPU.

Anyone knows why Apple has stopped using Nvidia? In the past you could still choose whether you wanted AMD or Nvidia on at least the Macbook Pro and MacPro. But now they seem to completely boycot Nvidia. While for now the Nvidia graphic cards are still most advanced, at least in the world of Adobe CC editing software as far as I know. I do not know if this is also the case with Apple's own video editing suite Final Cut Pro? Or did they optimise the OS and/or AMD (drivers &) cards so that for FCutPro editors on Apple machines there is no more performance difference between Nvidia and AMD GPU's? What do you think?
