So, many of you know that my camera gear was stolen a little over a month ago. Thanks to the generosity of many here on Pond5 (and the Pond5 staff) I raised enough money through GoFundMe to get a replacement for my stolen GH4.
I did not get another GH4 because the thieves got all of my good lenses and I didn't raise enough to replace the lenses. So, I decided to go with a Pro/Prosumer level camcorder instead. I got a JVC GY-HM200

I did a lot of research and settled on this camera for several reasons. First, it shoots 4k. Second, it does 1080p at 120fps. And third, it does live streaming over the Internet right from the camera. These days I do a LOT of run-and-gun shooting of news and the GH4 wasn't really suited for that.
Pros:
* 4k at 150mbps
* 29.5 to 354 mm zoom range (35mm equivalent)
* F/1.2 with a really nice bokeh
* Dual SD cards
* XLR inputs for sound
* Stream live to YouTube, Facebook, Livestream, Ustream straight from the camera
* Good low light (better than the GH4, but not great)
Cons:
* Only two settings for built-in ND filter
* Camera reboots when you change resolution settings/recording modes
* Not weather proof
* Cannot stream when recording in 4k mode.
I do miss my GH4 and having a DSLR, but for 90% of what I shoot, this camcorder does a great job. And I'm looking forward to doing live streaming of High School sports in the fall. I don't have any footage examples available on Pond5 yet, but as soon as they are approved, I'll add some links here.
It cost me $2000 for the camera, which includes a free shotgun mic. I also got an extended warranty that covers drops and spills.
Please feel free to ask any questions.
