commercial editorial button

Last week P5 showed up with a commercial/editorial button. Very handy and less time consuming. I hope it comes back soon.

Not needed. P5 decides what is editorial or commercial based on their criteria. Much better than us guessing what falls within their legal requirements. There is another thread on it. Glad it's gone but wish strongly that the ability to add a release would be available in the data input page.

Now I add the quote "No model/property release on file for this clip; may be suitable for editorial (news and documentary) usage only" as instructed by a curator on some rejected editorial shots. That takes a lot of time. I did not see another threads on the subject.
Adding a release could be more direct, I agree.

Since the beginning of P5 when I started with them in 2007 and when this subject came up over the years P5 has always said that they will determine what is editorial or commercial. They have lawyers and smart people who will make that determination. It's their business and they will annotate products in accordance with what they know is needed to protect everyone. The threads are scattered in the forum from 2007 onwards. I know it's impossible for Artists to review threads that are a while back.

Yes they have a box they can click that adds the editorial byline. They don't have to type it in. It takes a second to click the box while they are previewing the clips during curation. It doesn't take any additional time and it simplifies and makes it easier for the Artists. I'm very happy letting them do their part of the work. They are protecting us and removing confusion by doing it. Good question and good luck on sales.

where is the download preview still and video button? Seems those are gone now too.
