We'd love feedback on our new Music List View!

+1 - not just sales but views drop

2 weeks without a sale, last one was on 17 September. a so long period without a single sale happened just once or twice since 2012! not even a single 2$ sound effect sold! :-/
but let's wait and be positive, anyway! :)

@Paulorego: Item Page views are expected to go down, although that won't necessarily correlate to less artist sales, as we're ow displaying more information on the initial search results page (including artist name, price, duration, PRO status, and, most importantly, the ability to play the track much more easily than before).

I'll also add we're monitoring the performance of the new list view across several dimensions and have seen only positive correlation to the total number of tracks being sold, total revenue, and diversity of tracks sold (i.e. distinct number of artists and tracks with sales) in a given week.

@Mike: So do the plays on the search result page count in our statistics as plays or does the buyer have to actually click the song and go to the individual song window for it to be counted?

I too have had a significant drop in views (over 50%) and almost no sales last 7 days and I've been pretty consistently getting sales for about a year now. Some of my best selling tracks are still ranked pretty high in search so it might be its just a slow october, but it is weird.

@Mike I guess it's just a temporary sales blip then.

"distinct number of artists and tracks with sales" this is awesome to hear. I was speaking with a friend who works for a large company in their 'Search engine' department and when I told him here on Pond5 it's always the same artists with the same tracks appearing at the top of the list of search results for a given search term he thought it was unfair. The fact that others are getting some exposure can only be a good thing to keep them motivated and provide customers with different options. Thanks

@Mike - I would love some clarification about how the views work now too... I don't get a ton anyways but they are definitely down for me by a lot compared to previous months. I have however made a sale when no views were showing on that day. Would be interesting to know how it works.

Please stop automatic translation even of music track titles. In German this often causes completely nonsense.
