Probably something way beyond the normal stock shooter. Looks like it's going to be a high end production type camera system. Still waiting for the 5D MKIII and 7D MKII.

no, there is a big difference between the 5D/7D both in price and capabilities. I could see the 7D going away if it wasn't better built as far as dust/weather proof and dual processors compared to the consumer ti level Canons. The 7D enhances the 5D with the extra reach due to cropped sensor. I have both and they both have their use. For normal lenses the 5D for telephoto the 7D. The announced is more for deep pocket producers and not standard stock or personal use.

Red Scarlet seems to be 4K 1-25FPS for $9750 including storage (Canon Mount).
