Ya, no matter what level of dust-free environment, it is still unacceptable to have dust trapped in between sensor and filter. This is the job of QC to make sure it is OK before they shipped them out. Means Canon doesn't care about it.

I have been "healing and creating master templates for all my cameras for years as "hot pixels" and dust bunnies simply are a fact of life. Here is lots of info on how to do it: http://www.howtogeek.com/194866/how-to-identify-stuck-pixels-and-remove-them-from-your-digital-photos/

Interesting article indeed. Maybe we should educate customer/Curators that birds in sky, Logo on urban architecture, and dust/dirt on lens/sensor are a fact of life. Just live with it. Good idea! :)
In fact, I do like the idea... And hope the other also like it.
