DS-1 Gimble

Well I'm returning it to get the new announced EC-1. It will hold my Canon 1DX MK II with a large lens. It has a better ability to balance and reports is it's much better at balance. First reports that I've talked to that has used it is it's a much better machine in it's ability to balance. We'll see about mid September. I know the Osmo is a capable machine, I just have an aversion to a proprietary camera system that only uses a single camera.

Cool about the driving shots. Yeah, after posting that I realized .. the Osmo is just an X3 or X5 on a handle .. those cam/gimbals are DESIGNED to fly in wind, yeah .. so ...

I'll be curious how it handles vibration (transmitted through vehicle mount)

My gimbal I got for RX100m4 (or bigger mirrorless) is fine for some stuff, but does NOT like wind at all (sad) and was sensitive to the diesel engine rumbling up through my bones when I was piloting it in waves ... which is why I got the damn thing ...

Without getting too far off topic, I might have to spring for the Yuneec handle for the CGO3+ (which I like sometimes better than the X3/X5 but othertimes not ... however, since I have two, one modded with a Peau lens, and am happy with the gimbal characteristics, well ... )
